Building lifelong friendships and strengthening our South Dakota community since 1903.
Step inside the historic Elks Lodge at 516 Fourth Street and feel the warmth of generations who have gathered here. From the polished wooden bar where neighbors swap stories to the spacious banquet hall that hosts everything from high-school scholarship banquets to summer fish fries, this is where Brookings comes together. The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks has been a cornerstone of American towns for more than a century, and our lodge carries that legacy proudly. Whether you’re a lifelong resident or new to the prairie, you’ll find fellowship that feels both patriotic and personal—charity drives that fill local food pantries, flag ceremonies honoring veterans, and holiday parties that light up Main Street. Here, the handshakes are firm, the laughter is genuine, and every member is family.
